| General Instructions for Import/Export Procedure Please note the following requirements for importing any goods into the UAE, or exporting from UAE in the name of Big Sea General Trading LLC. Big Sea Shipping Department shall be referred to as SHIPPING. A: Imports: Procedure: Please inform SHIPPING of any intended shipments to Big Sea before actually shipping them. Documentation Requirements for Imports (General Cargo) - Original Bill of Lading (B/Ls) endorsed by consignee(shipper)
- Commercial Invoice duly stamped and signed in original
- Original Certificate Of Origin (C.O.) endorsed by the local Chamber of Commerce at origin (for airfreight or ocean freight)
- Original Packing List, detailing number of packages, pallets, weight & volume, and serial numbers
- If the goods are to be re-exported after importation, this must be declared before importation.
NOTES: - Description of cargo should be same on all the above documents including packages, pallets, weight and volume.
- Prices declared on the invoice must be the real value of the goods.
- Address & contact information for the place where cargo is to be picked up must be supplied to SHIPPING at the time of applying for import.
B: Exports: Documentation Requirements for Exports (General Cargo) - Commercial Invoice duly stamped and signed in original on official Big Sea’s invoice form (3 copies).
- Original Certificate Of Origin (C.O.) endorsed by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce (only when asked for by the consignee/forwarder)
- If C.O. is required it must be declared on the invoice as well.
- Original Packing List, detailing number of packages, pallets, weight & volume, and serial numbers
- If the goods are going to be re-exported, this must be declared to the customs before exportation.
NOTES: - Description of cargo should be same on all the above documents including packages, pallets, weight and volume.
